Typical documents include in particular your valid passport, income evidence (work contract, bank account statements, fiscal certificates, tax assessment notices), supporting documentation of private health insurance, criminal background check / certificate of police, proof of remote work such as work agreement or invoices sent to foreign customers domiciled in the target country, proof of temporary accommodation upon arrival, diplomas and qualifications, health insurance and home schooling -related documents for your children if any, and any additional document related to your personal situation.
Official/ certified translations of the above documentation might be needed. Some countries request for local translation agencies whereas most of them accept translations performed by accredited experienced professional translators, in particular by international technical and legal translators who themselves are working as digital nomads.
Nomadism can benefit the whole family
Travelling is a philosophy of life and another way of seeing the world, it can help anyone who needs to take a break from the daily 9-5 routine from Monday to Friday. Children can also benefit from this way of life by learning languages and overcoming cultural barriers at a younger age.
Some types of intelligence indeed do not fit in the traditional school system, and being a nomad is an easy way to start home education as straying less than 90 days in a country often relieves the parents from their schooling obligations (subject to local regulations).
Adapted services have developed over the past 5 years
Since the Covid-19 episode, the world’s evolved rapidly and many health insurance providers, banks and financial services, mobile phone providers and technology companies as well as short-term accommodation agencies have emerged. Not to mention the professional and personal domiciliation services available at a reasonable cost, the translation, accounting and legal services associated, etc.
